Mission: 

To foster and promote the formation, operation and administration of a youth basketball program; including the formation of a team or teams and the promotion of the same through numerous fund-raising events and the running of tournaments.

Not-for-profit club:

The Wilmington Waves Basketball Club, Inc. is a not-for profit corporation supporting area teams that play in local, regional, and national tournaments.  The corporation funds equipment, uniforms, and sponsorships for a diverse group of young athletes. 

A board of directors is responsible for managing the overall organization -- leaving the coaches to manage business on the court.  The organization has bylaws, a code of conduct, and is recognized as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit by the IRS.  We rely on contributions from the general public along with membership dues and fund-raising activities to carry out our mission.

We are looking to add teams to the club.  If you want to compete at the next level, or if you are a coach or manager of a team interested in spring tournament basketball, then contact us at wavesbasketball@gmail.com.

Player registration forms:

Players typically register by submitting a birth certificate, a school report card and the following forms:

Player information sheet
Permission and waiver
Image consent

Players who are born after September 1st and are young in their grade may play at a lower grade level.  See the grade and age cut-off dates here.
